Governance
The challenge in writing governance is to create 'guard rails' that help people avoid making mistakes, but which are not so cumbersome as to be irritating when carrying out routine tasks. This 'Goldilocks' zone can be helped by writing in plain English, and by avoiding jargon. The key when writing governance is to understand the target audience and try to make 90% of their tasks as simple as possible with tools, templates and fit-for-purpose support that reduces the friction of 'getting things done'. Easier said than done!
